A poet tries to find the words “I love you.”
About the Author:
Thomas Underdal (he/him) is an interdisciplinary theatre maker and educator. His work as a theatre maker spans the roles of director, writer, and designer. As a writer, his work lives in the worlds of poetry, eco-writing, magical realism, and modern fantasy. His plays include Kingdom (ASU TheatreLab) and Fox Needs a Nap (Arts on the Horizon 2022 Finalist). My formative writing roots live in the soils of the theatre for youth and solo work fields. One of the core tenants of who I am as a person, is my love for working with young people. I write a lot of my plays with young audiences in mind. I am inspired by the complexities of what it means to be a young person and the discoveries one faces when they are younger. Thomas is currently an MFA student in Theatre for Youth and Community at Arizona State University.
