My name is Mike Brannon. After thirty-plus years of working and raising a family, I finally got a chance to return to my first love, writing for the theater. I began writing plays for local festivals, and have been fortunate to have had over 20 plays produced in a variety of formats: on stage, on Zoom, and on the radio, as well as short short play competitions, and in play-in-a-day workshops. The Hear Me Out monologue competition is one of my first attempts to reach outside of my home state, and push beyond my comfort zone.
